The Renfrewshire Golf Union run a number of events through the playing season for all levels of playing ability.  The early part of the season sees the Boys and Youth competing for the 'Caven' and 'Menzies' Trophies with the hope of qualifying their respective Matchplay events – The 'Freedman' for the Boys played over Kilmacolm and the 'George Duncan' for the Youths played over Renfrew. The handicap championships are held jointly - '6 to 12' & '13 - 28'. The Club Team Championship features 'three man teams' representing their clubs over 18 holes. The 'Champion of Champions', 'County Cup' and Order of Merit events are played thoughout the season with the finals of these events held at the end of the summer playing season.
